This is the newest addition to the excellent Panasonic’s series of budget smartphones.This phone has been made specifically, keeping in mind the users’s photography needs and this has resulted in a dual-lens camera.

Eluga Ray 500 has a thickness of 9.2 mm and a weight of 163g. It boasts many new features;all of them are discussed below.

5-inch Touchscreen Display 

The display for this phone is a five-inch touch screen display which is made withIPS Oncell2.5Dcurved glass and covered by NEG2 glass protection. The screen has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels: resolution dictates how sharp and clear the images and videos on the phone are for viewing. This provides full HD quality images and pictures on the screen. 

Processors 

The phone has a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTekMT6737 processor, andMediaTek delivers 8.33% speed for the CPU, which is faster than Snapdragon 410. This processor also allows for a higher RAM capacity which therefore has 3 GB RAM.Mali-T720 GPU is a high-efficiency mobile graphics processor, used by many smartphones nowadays. Thisbalances performance qualityand energy saving. Its main benefit is that it is 150% energy efficient as compared to the previous graphics processors.

Storage 

The phone has incredible storage capacity with 32GB of internal memory, and the microSD card supports upto 128 GB internal memory. This can hold more than 3200 photos, about 16 hours of Full HD movies, around 7500 songs and over 125 apps. This is an incredible amount of storage available altogether.

Camera setup with dual cameras 

This phone has been designed and produced keeping in mind that a lot of user’s fascination with photography and boasts of a back camera that has a standard and a wide-angle lens attached. Sleep mode is activated once the screen locks and does not have running apps in the background. The system uses small windows to check for updates, thereby saving energy and battery.

Battery life 

The phone has a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh; this battery after a full charge should last eight hours with moderate usage. This does not take into consideration the battery drainage due to playing games.

Fingerprint ID 

This phone has a fingerprint sensor that allows the user to lock and unlock using the features for extra measure and security. 

Hybrid Dual SIM, 4GVoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS

 Hybrid Dual SIM is a technology that has a microSD card and SIM card features at the same time together. 4GVoLTE is a wireless system that allows for better call quality and backup. The WiFi setup will support a bandwidth of up to 54Mbps and uses frequencies of 2.4Ghz and above.

This Panasonic mobile is a good choice for people with a keen interested in photography, as it has great cameras for experimentation, besides other great features, making it a great buy.
